The claimants were the owners of the vessel Bulk Poland and the contractual carrier of a cargo of soybeans from Brazil, to the People’s Republic of China (PRC). The bills of lading were consigned to order. The defendant was a company incorporated in the PRC and was the receiver of the cargo.
