INTERNATIONAL RE PARTNERS WITH CIMARRON TO WRITE ADMITTED LINES IN US

London-based captive re/insurance managing general underwriter International Re (I-Re) has formed a strategic partnership with US niche specialty insurer Cimarron Insurance to underwrite a range of admitted property/casualty lines that will be rolled out over the course of this year. Cimarron specialises in providing business owners and owner-operators with an array of insurance, risk management and risk-financing solutions. The deal with Cimarron is the first of a number of strategic partnerships with insurers that I-Re expects to roll out through 2021. Cimarron chief executive Paul Halter commented: “Working together, I-Re and Cimarron are eliminating the barriers that stand in the way of mid-market companies underwriting admitted commercial property and casualty insurance policies in the standalone and independent cell captives they own.”
