QBE CENTRALISES REINSURANCE OPERATIONS IN LONDON

QBE has centralised its global inwards reinsurance operations in London. Following the change, the financial results of QBE’s North American inwards reinsurance business will be included in the results of QBE Re, which is part of the International segment. These operations will henceforth be managed under Steve Postlewhite, managing director of global reinsurance at QBE Europe. QBE said the move would allow the firm to take advantage of improved reinsurance market conditions and to enhance performance. The insurer’s 2020 full-year results, which will be released on February 19, will reflect this change.
