New partner at Venable

UNITED STATES – Venable LLP has announced the addition of Steven R. Ludwig, Ph.D., as a partner in its patent prosecution and litigation groups in Washington, D.C. Dr. Ludwig joins from Washington IP firm Sterne, Kessler, Goldstein & Fox PLLC, where he was an equity director in its biotechnology/chemical group. In his 14-year legal career with Sterne, Kessler, Dr. Ludwig has worked across all patent practice areas, from patent office prosecutions to interferences, oppositions and litigations, contractual negotiations and licensing agreement work. “The diversity of Steve Ludwig’s practice experience makes him a strong addition to our already deep bench of patent attorneys,” said William D.
