AXA NAMES DEPUTY CEOS IN LEADERSHIP SHAKEUP
Axa is making changes to its senior leadership as it implements the new phase of its strategic journey. The changes will see Axa’s corporate center move to a simpler and more focused organisation, led by two deputy chief executives. Frédéric de Courtois is to join Axa as deputy chief executive in charge of finance and investments, risk management and ceded reinsurance, effective August 1, 2021. De Courtois returns to Axa from Generali, where he served as chief executive for international and global business lines and group general manager. George Stansfield, is named deputy CEO and group general secretary. In addition, Alban de Mailly Nesle, group chief risk and investment officer, will become group CFO while Etienne Bouas-Laurent, group CFO takes on the role of CEO of Axa Belgium.
