MARSH MCLENNAN RELEASES FIRST ESG PLAN

Marsh McLennan has released what it described as its first comprehensive environmental, social and governance (ESG) report. According to the company the report, entitled Changing What’s Possible, highlights specific data and examples of the company’s work to advance ESG priorities in 2019 and 2020. The company has stated its commitment to reduce its carbon emissions to 15% below 2019 levels by year-end 2025. It also wishes to become a leader in the areas of inclusion and diversity. “We recognise the opportunity – and the obligation – we have to model the behaviours we want to see in the world and to be good stewards of the environment and the societies in which we live,” Dan Glaser, president and chief executive of Marsh McLennan, said.
