A first Covid-19 case hits shipping courts

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a profound impact on the shipping market but to date there have been relatively few reported judgments illustrating the impact of the pandemic on the industry. This is due in part to the widespread use of arbitration to resolve shipping disputes, together with the time taken for cases to progress through the courts.
