GALLAGHER ACQUIRES AUSTRALIAN BROKER

Arthur J Gallagher has acquired Australian broker Mutual Brokers Pty Ltd. Canberra-based Mutual Brokers is an independent broker serving a broad cross-section of commercial and small corporate clients in the Australian Capital Territory. The Mutual Brokers team, including owners Lou Pennetta and Adrian Dodd, will join the Gallagher Canberra branch later in the year under the direction of AJG’s head of Metro Branches, Mark Saunderson. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. “Mutual Brokers is a growing, culturally aligned business that doubles our presence and expands our client capabilities in the key Canberra market,” said J Patrick Gallagher, AGJ chairman and president and chief executive.
