Asbestos Update

Businesses urged to do more to prevent workers from exposure to asbestos

The Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) has called on businesses to do more to prevent workers from exposure to asbestos. The IOSH said that work-related exposure to asbestos kills more than 230,000 a year globally. According to the IOSH, this updated figure, first published in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health in 2018, dwarfs previous estimates of over 107,000.
