TUC warns of high level of deaths

A report from the Trades Union Congress warns that asbestos-related disease – already killing 4,000 a year in Britain, more than die on the roads – will become the biggest killer of males under the age of 65 by 2020. It was noted that although banned to a great extent from the 1970s, there are still thousands of buildings containing the substance.
