The claimant Bank claimed an indemnity of £33.5 million under a policy of insurance subscribed to by the first to 14th defendants as underwriters (the underwriters). The policy was led by the first defendant (RSA) and was placed by the 15th defendant, Edge Brokers (London) Ltd (Edge).
