Insurers under scrutiny over response to climate change
Climate activists dumped fake coal outside the porter’s lodge at Lloyd’s in April as a protest against the industry’s backing
for major fossil fuel mining projects, in particular the Carmichael thermal coal mine in Australia. Protesters were seen with
banners proclaiming “insuring fossil fuels equals insuring climate breakdown”.
