US property/casualty group Heritage Insurance Holdings has reported that its second-quarter results will include $35.5m in weather-related losses. The total includes $24.5m of net current accident quarter catastrophe losses and $11.0m of net current accident quarter other weather losses. The second-quarter figure brings Heritage’s weather-related losses for the first six months of the year to $66.9m. The Florida-based group said second-quarter results will also reflect $9.4m of additional ceded premiums it expects to incur for the reinstatement of its severe convective storm reinsurance coverage.
