Changing UK fire safety rules will have implications for insurers

Four years on from the fateful night 72 lives were lost at Grenfell Tower in London – stemming from fire safety failings in the construction of high-rise residential buildings – residents of tower blocks, members of the public and the insurers alike have rightly asked what is being done to ensure such a tragedy does not happen again.
