Willis Towers Watson tight-lipped on Haley’s future
Wllis Towers Watson has
refused to be drawn on whether it will extend chief executive John Haley's contract following the collapse of the broker's merger with Aon. Haley’s
contract with the firm was set to expire at the end of 2020 after being extended in 2018. The company was expected to name
a new chief executive in the second half of 2020 after a suitable selection process. In a statement sent to Insurance Day,
a spokesperson said the company was not commenting on Haley' position at this time. The spokesperson added that Willis Towers
Watson has an investor day scheduled for September 9. The correlation between the two statements was not explained.
