Fairfax’s income boosted by underwriting and investments
Second-quarter net earnings at Canadian re/insurance and investment group Fairfax Financial Holdings more than doubled to
$1.2bn from $434.9m, reflecting improved underwriting results and a doubling of investment returns to $1.29bn.
