Liability Risk and Insurance

Six former executives and employees of JCO, site of Japan’s worst-ever nuclear accident, have been arrested on suspicion of professional negligence through systematic violations of safety proceedings. The accident, which took place in 1999 at JCO’s Tokaimura uranium processing plant, led to the deaths of two workers and exposure of more than 400 people to radiation.
