Chinese patent law

A change in patent law allows Chinese citizens and foreign nations the right to bring action against their patent office. This to bring it into line with World Trade Organisation specifications on intellectual property prior to China’s membership in the near future. The final say on validation (or otherwise) of a patent claim is moved from the patent office itself to the courts.
