FITCH EXPECTS DOUBLE-DIGIT REINSURANCE RATES AT 1/1

Fitch Ratings is forecasting double-digit growth in reinsurance rates at the January 2022 renewals, supporting an improving sector outlook for 2022. The rating agency expects reinsurance rates to increase more than 10% in catastrophe-related lines at the January renewal, when around two-thirds of non-facultative reinsurance business is renewed, with a particular focus on Europe.
