Matrimonial home, enforcement against wife

In another case, where a wife had agreed to the use of the matrimonial home as security against a bank loan – allegedly as a result of her husband’s misrepresentations and undue influence – the question was whether the bank was entitled to rely on assurances from a solicitor (with an apparent conflict of interest) that he had explained the transaction to the wife.
