Petrobras P-36

Explosions killed 10 workers and led to the capsize and loss of the Petrobras offshore platform P-36 off Brazil. A US$500mn policy was placed with the Brazilian state-owned insurer, reinsurance was placed worldwide by Aon with Norway’s Gard the leader, although the risk is widely spread, including the London and Lloyd’s markets.
