Marine sector faces up to Russia attack on Ukraine and impact on its ports
The marine sector is facing major disruption after Russia attacked Ukraine. In one example, on 24 February Turkish bulk carrier
Yasa Jupiter was hit by either a Russian air strike or by a Russian missile off Odessa in the Black Sea, while en route from
Dnepro-Bugskiy to Constanta, Romania. According to the Turkish Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre, the ship sustained damages
in the cargo hold area, but remained under way and continued its voyage. None of the crew was reported as hurt.
