Six-figure sum for spinal cord injury
A woman has received a six-figure sum following unnecessary lumbar punctures which caused a spinal cord injury. The woman
was admitted to A&E but her condition was misunderstood by clinicians, and she underwent investigative lumbar punctures, which
were contraindicated in the circumstances of spontaneous intracranial hypotension (SIH) and which would not have diagnosed
SIH, according to Leigh Day.
