UK sanctions challenges and the LLC Synesis judgment

In March 2023, in LLC Synesis v Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs [2023] EWHC 541 (Admin); [2023] Lloyd's Rep FC 252, Mr Justice Jay ruled in favour of the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Development Affairs in dismissing the first court review brought under the UK's autonomous sanctions regime.
