Black Sea Grain Initiative - will it restart and what are the implications for mariners?

Marie Kelly, of Gard, discusses the recently abandoned Black Sea Grain initiative, which at the time of writing was still ceased. Since writing, there have been a number of attacks on ships in the region and the position is said to have become even more perilous

The Black Sea Grain Initiative is a hot topic at present, with the previous arrangement currently suspended and military involvement in the area increasing. In early August a Russian naval ship was damaged near the Russian port of Novossiysk and a tanker was attacked near Crimea, and risks from drone attacks are increasing.
