Enclosed space safety is now under IMO's spotlight

Following dedicated lobbying by industry groups, the IMO is now set to comprehensively revise its recommendations for entering enclosed spaces onboard ships, hopefully thereby preventing further loss of life. Regulation aimed at improving the safety of seafarers and other personnel working in enclosed spaces onboard ships is set to be updated by the IMO following intervention from member states and maritime associations.
