£35,000 in damages for delay in diagnosis
A woman has received £35,000 in damages as a result of a delay in diagnosis. She had undergone a total abdominal hysterectomy
to treat endometrioid adenocarcinoma. As a result, she developed a non-negligently caused vesicovaginal fistula. Shortly after
the procedure, she presented to her surgeon for follow-up and reported symptoms of continuous urinary leakage and was referred
to urology for assessment.
