Vessel tracking enhancement

Lloyd's List Intelligence has launched a new feature in its Seasearcher platform that will enable users to identify spoofing for all major vessel types, enhancing their screening processes and solidifying their compliance position. Spoofing describes an event when a vessel deliberately transmits false AIS data to conceal its true location, and possible illicit activity. Previously it was extremely difficult to detect, but driven by user feedback and an unprecedented 50 per cent rise in cases in the past year, Lloyd's List Intelligence's ground-breaking methodology combines machine-learning modelling with a vast AIS proprietary network to offer accurate and reliable data, and real time risk detection.
