Dispute about quantum in claim by tree surgeon

Scarcliffe v Brampton Valley Group Ltd [2023] EWHC 1565 (KB)

The claimant, Mr Scarcliffe, was employed by the defendant as a tree surgeon. He had sustained two spinal fractures in 2017 when he had been working on a Nature Reserve in Northamptonshire, during the course of his normal duties. The accident had happened when a colleague lost control of a solid section of the tree trunk which had then fallen on S's back. As a consequence, the claimant suffered from chronic back pain.
