Supreme Court rules on hybrid injuries in whiplash claims

Hassam and Another v Rabot and Another [2024] UKSC 11

In a recent landmark judgment at the end of March 2024, the Supreme Court clarified the position on the assessment of damages for whiplash and non-whiplash injuries following reforms introduced by Part 1 of the Civil Liability Act 2018 and the Whiplash Injury Regulations 2021 (SI 2021 No 642) in claims for injuries caused by negligent driving.
