Andersen found guilty on conspiracy charge
In the first US government salvo of the Enron affair, the jury eventually found Andersen guilty of obstruction of justice,
mainly through the alteration of a document rather than shredding. Andersen has already cried ‘Mistrial!’, as the judge instructed
the jury member that they could bring in a guilty verdict without naming any guilty individual. Andersen will certainly go
for every opening of appeal against what it describes as a ‘technical conviction’.
