Boeing not liable for toxic fume sickness

A Seattle state court jury has decided that Boeing is not liable for illnesses suffered by 26 flight attendants of Alaska Airlines. Also naming Honeywell, manufacturer of auxiliary power units providing cabin electricity when on the ground. The attendants claimed that toxic fumes from the MD-80 jets manufactured by McDonnell Douglas mixed fumes from hydraulic fluid and lubricant oil with cabin air, causing flu-like symptoms and one case of brain cancer.
