Silverstein denied summary ruling

Not unexpectedly, New York District Court judge John Martin has denied the motion from Silverstein Properties Inc for summary judgment in the dispute with insurers as to whether the destruction of the World Trade Centre’s twin towers constituted one or two events for insurance purposes. He stated that the issue was not sufficiently clear cut and clouded by disputes over the meaning of the word ‘occurrence’.
