Call for directive on work-related psychosocial risks

The European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) has renewed its call for a directive dedicated to the prevention of work-related psychosocial risks. The ETUC said it has long been calling for legislation tackling psychosocial risks in the workplace. In the absence of specific legislation, adequate protection will be a national matter or the subject of voluntary bargaining. The lack of an adequate legal framework might then lead to significant inequalities in the way that these foreseeable risks are addressed.
