Policyholder can target insurer of choice

A ruling of the Ohio Supreme Court, in an US$11mn environmental coverage dispute between Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co and insurers, allows the company to choose which of the many insurers providing cover during the contamination period may be targeted for clean-up costs up to policy limits. Insurers had sought for the cost to be split among all those on risk.
