Australian public liability insurers saw a decade of loss

Partly to refute suggestion in a report commissioned by the Law Council of Australia that public liability insurance was heading for unprecedented profits, the Insurance Council of Australia commissioned an actuarial analysis of the sector. This found that past reserves have been far from adequate and that the industry has been running at a loss of 3% since the early 1990s.
