Sole defendant “potentially” liable

The only defendant remaining in the West Virginia trial, Union Carbide, has been found by the jury as “potentially” liable for the personal injury of 2,000 claimants exposed to the company’s products between 1964 and 1972, and workers at Union Carbide plants between 1945 and 1980.
