11.1 Introduction
11.1.1 This chapter and the next four chapters address issues relating to enforcement of a mortgagee's security. This chapter addresses a mortgagee's self-help powers. Chapter 12 discusses certain ways in which English law protects a mortgagor. Chapter 13 considers liabilities of a mortgagee to third parties. Chapter 14 looks at the Admiralty Court sale procedure in England. Some aspects of restructuring and insolvency are covered in Chapter 15.
