Ernst withdraws delay application

Ernst & Young have withdrawn their application to the Court of Appeal to delay investigation of its audit work until after the suit filed against it by Equitable Life is concluded. The Accountants Joint Disciplinary Scheme will now proceed to investigate its role in the Equitable debacle. Ernst & Young may, however, revive their application if the investigation reaches its final stages before the civil case is concluded.
