CEDR to take on CA role

The Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR) is to take on the administration of the Court of Appeal’s alternative dispute resolution scheme. Under the scheme the CA can refuse to list a case until the parties have responded to an invitation to mediate. So far the scheme’s effects have been “not insignificant but not impressive either” with administration seen as a key to greater success.
