The IASB began updating its Management Commentary Practice Statement towards the end of 2017. Despite the fact that its proposals for updating the Statement were well received, the project has been on hold for some time during which its future seemed unclear. However, the board decided in June 2024 that it would go ahead with finalising its proposals and it has recently begun that work.
