Fundamentally dishonest over £2.3 million NHS compensation claim
A lorry driver from Liverpool was fundamentally dishonest about his injuries in his attempt to claim more than £2.3 million
in compensation from the NHS, and his claim for clinical negligence against an NHS Foundation Trust and an NHS Trust was dismissed
at trial. NHS Resolution said he had alleged he developed fibromyalgia because of a nine-year delay in diagnosing ankylosing
spondylitis. He claimed £2.3 million in compensation, covering injuries, lost earnings, pension loss, care and assistance,
accommodation, and other losses.
