As wind-assisted propulsion is gaining traction as a means to decarbonise, various contractual issues should be addressed to avoid potential disputes between shipowners and charterers

While the industry continues its search for fuels that produce fewer greenhouse gas emissions, the age-old method of using wind to propel ships is starting to come back into use with newer designs and techno­logy.
