The financial sector in the UK has developed and significantly expanded over time in part due to the rigorous and proactive
supervisory approach of both the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA). Specifically,
the FCA regulates the financial services industry and its mandate includes protecting consumers, keeping the market stable
and promoting healthy competition between financial service providers.
