Extreme weather reflected in more than US$25 million marine insurance claims

Extreme weather incidents are increasing across the globe and the impact on cargo ships is evident. The Swedish Club reported that it registered claims exceeding US$25million attributable to heavy weather in the past five years. In response it has developed a heavy weather alert tool as an addition to its "trade enabling loss prevention" (TELP) tool.
