Annual health check of global marine insurance market

Lars Lange, of the International Union of Marine Insurance, discusses the recent statistics released by the group and reveals the health of the marine insurance market globally

One of the International Union of Marine Insurance (IUMI)'s central activities is to collect global data on the health of the marine insurance sector and provide analysis and commentary. Based on that, IUMI presented its findings for the 2023 underwriting year at its annual conference in Berlin in September. Overall it was concluded that 2023 was a positive year for marine underwriters, a notably strong year compared to recent ones.
