Law and supply chain management

Supply chain management (SCM) has become a popular term in recent years due to global challenges such as Covid-19, the Suez Canal obstruction, trade wars, conflict between Russia and Ukraine and competition in new energy industries. Yet what is a supply chain? How does it link with law? How can the two fields strengthen each other's understanding?

This article aims to introduce SCM concepts to legal experts from a supply chain researcher's perspective. It is divided into three parts: the first section introduces the basic concepts of SCM; the second part discusses the relationship between law and SCM; and the third part concludes with some future trends in the field.
