Five liability loss trends to watch – Allianz Commercial

US juries have ordered a record number of supersized verdicts against companies in recent years, with so-called “nuclear” verdicts having almost trebled since 2020 and the median verdict value has more than doubled. This is according to analysis from Allianz Commercial which reveals that the growth in such awards is a significant factor in spiralling cost of liability claims.
