Admiralty - Port charges - Vessel delayed in discharging cargo due to defects in loading - Whether port entitled to charge additional period toll

The vessel MV Kiating, a Singapore registered bulk carrier, was sub-chartered to Swire. In November and December 2021 the vessel loaded a cargo of plywood and hardwood in China and Malaysia, intended for discharge at Tilbury. However, storage limitations at Tilbury meant that the cargo could not be discharged there, and the vessel instead headed to the Port of Sheerness.
