Remedies for defects and the Building Safety Act 2022

14.1 The primary (but not exclusive) focus of this chapter is in respect of defects affecting fire safety in tall buildings. That class of defects has been the subject of a very significant amount of litigation and important and far-reaching legislative changes in consequence of the disastrous Grenfell Tower fire in June 2017.
